My name is Salomon Rai Aburto, but most people call me Sal. I'm currently a freshman in American University and double majoring in Journalism as well as Political Science. I'm in love with photography and all the visual arts and hope to become big one day. I was born in Los Angeles, California, but moved to Miami, Florida after a year, where I lived for the rest of my life. My parents were both immigrants from Latin America. My mom is from Venezuela and my dad is from Peru. The Latin culture will always reside in me and I value my roots. I attended MAST Academy, a recognized magnet school of excellence located in Key Biscayne, Florida. I aspire to become a world renowned journalist, but things can change. I'm just going with the flow and trying to enjoy every second of my life. This  blog is solely intended for my Visual Literacy class, but I may just update this blog for the rest of my life.
