Light symbolizes truth. So this picture is suppose to evoke the essence of just letting go and letting the truth over power our bodies. Sometimes we are so exhausted of just lying and deceit and we need just a glimpse of hope. The lines are suppose to be the rays of truth entering the soul, but as you can also notice the rest of the body is dark and in the shade signifying the rest of our lies. Also, I intentionally told the subject to look up as if she was asking for some help from God because it woul signify that she is having trouble finding truth herself and is just giving it all up to a higher authority.
